Spinal Designs International, Inc. provides evidenced-based LIFEBACK™ Spine Programs through health care partners for chronic non-surgical and post-operative back pain patients. These best practice programs successfully address the underlying cause(s) of chronic low back and neck pain. They treat spinal disease in its totality through patient-responsible disease management versus repeated clinician-provided treatments that focus on symptom management.
LIFEBACK programs, for both non-surgical and post-operative conditions, are offered through a network of Spine Rehab Clinics. They effectively restore function to the low back or neck for chronic patients, as proven by measurements gathered on 6,000+ patients to date.
The origins for the LIFEBACK programs were inpatient, restorative spine care protocols developed at the Sister Kenny Institute in Minneapolis. Spinal Designs enhanced these clinical and administrative protocols, shaping them for outpatient application. It established an outcomes data system (ODS) to measure effectiveness and insure reimbursement from payers. Spinal Designs also developed and patented a medical device that is part of its gravity-assisted unloading therapy.
