This test can help determine if the patient has a respiratory problem, cardiac problem, neither or both.Our portable Pulmonary Function Testing equipment is capable of doing a complete PFT with DLCO gas in your office.Pulmonary function tests are a group of tests done to evaluate the function of your lungs. These tests measure how much air flows through your lungs and how easily it is transferred.In the past, Pulmonary Function Testing was usually performed in hospitals or in PFT Laboratories. If you choose a doctor that utilizes our mobile cardiopulmonary function testing equipment, you can be tested right in your doctors office, with the same accuracy but optimum convenience.
You will be asked to breathe into a special mouthpiece hooked to a machine called a spirometer. The technician performing the test will give you specific instructions. For example, you may be asked to breathe in as deeply as you can and then blow air out as fast as you can. You also may be asked to breathe normally, and then take in as big a breath as you can. You may need to repeat the test several times. Accurate measurements depend on you following the instructions and giving your best effort.
