Pharmacy Intern Job - New York, NY - Duane Reade

Job Responsibilities:
- Answers telephones, handles patient transactions and stocks inventory in the pharmacy.
- Works closely with Pharmacy Technicians.
- Communicates with customers and refers any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information or health matters to a Pharmacist.
- Assists in keeping accurate patient records to avoid harmful drug interaction.
- May establish and maintain patient profiles, and prepare insurance claim forms.
- Maintains inventory and informs the pharmacist of stock needs to insure the pharmacy has vital medications on hand.
- Insures that the pharmacy and it's equipment is kept neat and clean, helps with the maintenanace of equipment and supplies, and manages the cash register.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.
