Job Description
The director of Pharmacy oversees and manages the overall department operations and assures that necessary manpower and supplies are available to provide quality patient care/service. The director is responsible for the development activities and processes. The director is responsible for training and services provided by this position and the department, which must be appropiate to patients of all age groups. The director is accountable and responsible for all departmental activities, 24 hrs a day, seven days a week.
Strong financial background and demonstrated fiscal responsibility, fluent in english and spanish, communication skills preferred, results oriented individual with a proven track record.
Schedule: Varies
Bachelor in Pharmacy, licensed in the state of Texas. Master's degree in related field or Pharm D preferred, or equivalent experience.
Must be able to efficiently interact with pharmacy professionals, pharmacy support, Nursing and Medical Staff personnel, five or more years hospital pharmacy experience preferred, ability to take 24 hour responsibility and accountability for reporting departments. Compensation: Based upon experience.
