Job Description
Plans, organizes, supervises, and directs the operation of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Formulates policies and action plans to meet established goals and complexity of patient care needs. Manages operations, ensuring timely delivery of quality clinical services. Develops, implements and maintains departmental budget through cost effective use of supplies and effective fiscal management of operations. Implements and maintains efficient performance standards in accordance with Federal and State Rules and Regulation and the JCAHO Standards for the department. Works cooperatively as a team member to reach hospital-wide objectives. Manages human resources within department. Provides leadership in the Quality Improvement process. Actively participates in education activities/self-development to enhance professional growth. Ensures departmental safety practices are maintained. Ensures department projects positive, caring attitude towards co-workers within department, guests, medical staff, and other departments.
Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a PharmD. Degree. Possess a valid California license to practice Pharmacy in the State of California. 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience. 2 years administrative experience.
