Job Description
Performs, under minimal supervision, clinical consultations with patients with respect to medication therapy. Includes highly complex level of research and analysis related to prescription drugs, including injectable medications. Develops and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines, assesses new drug therapies, presents findings to management and committees. Works on the Mail Service Help Desk.
Requirements: 3-5 years relevant experience required. General knowledge of PC usage (Word, Excel, and Pharmacy System). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extensive experience and demonstrated skills in Patient Consultation. Experience giving presentations. One year Pharmacy Residence equivalent to 2 years practical experience. Knowledge of applicable Pharmacy/Patient Care laws and regulations. Ability to deal with conflict and say "no" in a customer centric fashion. Some incumbents will be required to be bilingual.
BS/BA degree in Pharmacy required. Post graduate degree (PharmD) preferred.
This position is a contract position paying between $50.00-$53.00 per hour.
