Borgess Medical Center, in Kalamazoo, MI. has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Pharmacy Clinical Specialist to participate as an integral member of our Critical Care Team. This is a full-time, first shift position.
The primary responsibility of this position is meeting the clinical needs of Critical Care patients and includes rounding with the Critical Care team in the cardiac, neurosurgical, trauma/surgical and medical intensive care units. The Critical Care Clinical Specialist is responsible for ensuring appropriate drug therapy, implementing and monitoring clinical protocols and guidelines, as well as enhancing the delivery of evidence-based medicine. Other responsibilities include educating pharmacy PG1 residents, medical residents, as well as pharmacy and medical students. Representation on medical center committees and collaboration in research initiatives is also encouraged. This position will also work in collaboration with the other four Pharmacy Clinical Specialists.
