Job Description
Interpret and enter orders on the inpatient and outpatient computer systems. Monitor medication therapy, and maintain medication records. Provide medication information to professional staff. Dispense prescriptions, and counsel patients. Schedule medication administration, and maintain MAR’s. Compound prescriptions, and admix IV medications. Order medications and supplies. Check medication stock for expiration or unusable stock. Pick up and deliver medication and medication orders. Clean and maintain pharmacy equipment. Debit and credit patient accounts. Keep track of Controlled Substances within the hospital. Respond to all Codes as required for patient care. Attend department meetings as well as hospital wide programs. Perform other duties as required.
