Job Description
EFL Associates has been retained to assist in the search for a newly created position of Assistant Director of Pharmacy at an award-winning healthcare system. Continued organizational growth provides for growth opportunity in this new position. The Assistant Director of Pharmacy will report to the Director of Pharmacy and will direct the inpatient pharmacy services to effectively integrate the departmental services into the hospital’s mission and maintain quality control. S/he will oversee three direct reports with a total staff complement of approximately 70 FTEs including nearly 33 pharmacists, 23 technicians and 4 interns.
The ideal candidate will have a pharmacy degree, and preferably, a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, advanced degree and/or residency experience. A minimum of three years of management experience, or a combination of residency and management experience is required, as well as experience in a health system or hospital setting. This person should also have experience with and be supportive of strong clinical pharmacy programs working closely with the physicians and training programs.
