Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Pharmacy director, the Pharmacist I will provide clinical pharmacy services, formulary education, and support on-going needs of all departments within Passport Health Plan for Medicare Advantage and Behavioral health needs.
Job Skills/Requirements Working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology and practices Proven ability to write technical articles, position papers and draft presentation documents Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to make sound clinical judgements Strong research and analytical ability Ability to extrapolate data and present research results Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects independently Ability to present ideas, findings in a classroom setting Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient PC skills in a windows based environment preferably Word, Excel and Access Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Handles stress in a positive and productive manner Non-Smoker Education and Training: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) preferred
Experience: 3 years Pharmacy experience Previous experience in managed care or a provider operated healthcare environment Experience in behavioral health medications, therapies and treatment of behavior health diagnosis. ( preferred) Experience with inpatient and outpatient behavior health services. ( preferred )
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications Current Pharmacy License in the Commonwealth of Kentucky preferred. If individual is not licensed in the state of Kentucky, license transfer is expected within 6 months of employment.
