Job Description
Licensure California Pharmacist License in good standing. 2 Openings Carlsbad, CA 6- Contract Assignment Payrate $50.00- $55.00 per hour
Experience Retail or mail order experience preferred but not required. Hospital, nuclear pharmacy and other pharmacy disciplines considered Recent graduates accepted
Top Five Responsibilities 1. Inspect Verify prescriptions and prescription data entered into the pharmacy computer system for accuracy. 2. Utilize clinical skills to perform Drug Utilization Reviews 3. Work in the fulfillment area to provide the final quality check prior to medication being packed and shipped. Knowledge and Skills Pharmacy Up to date clinical skills - (through current work practice or demonstrated upon interview) Technology Basic knowledge of MS Windows operating system Basic to intermediate skills using MS Office applications (MS Word and MS Excel at a minimum) Experience using email systems - MS Outlook or Outlook Express preferred but not required. Ability to process prescriptions in a pharmacy software application. Experience using a web browser (Internet Explorer preferred but not required) Experience using on-line clinical references and accessing professional (clinical and regulatory) internet sites preferred but not required Experience working with on-screen document images a plus Language Fluent English speaking skills Able to communicate effectively and professionally in writing Bi-lingual and multi-lingual candidates fluent in English are highly desirable. Interpersonal Able to work effectively in team environment and interact with colleagues in a professional and supportive manner Able to communicate effectively and at the appropriate level with healthcare professionals, peers and consumers Strong customer service skills including knowledge of standard phone etiquette, problem solving and customer interfacing skills Organized, detail oriented and excellent on follow-up
