Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in Texas BS or Pharm D from an accredited school of Pharmacy Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time Excellent communication skills Ability to understand and follow directions Previous experience in Management or Director role preferred, but not required
Job Duties:
Routine dispensing functions Maintains computerized patient record system to monitor medication therapy for safety and efficiency. Monitors and intervenes on all drug regiments as indicated by quality assurance plan. Provides clinical drug information to meet the needs of the physicians and nursing staff through direct contact and/or committee participation. Provides for recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of both current and newly hired staff. Execute special projects and other related work as necessary or requested. Responsible for department's budgetary goals and objectives. Evaluates, develops and implements policies and procedures for the department. Provides annual and on-going performance assessment of staff. Encourages open communications within the department and other departments of the hospital.
