Job Description
Pharm Techs will be required to:
~Take physician calls and communicate effectively with physicians and upper level personnel.
~work between multiple systems
~enter new prescriptions into pharmacy system (decipher prescriptions, distinguishing different drug forms and dosages)
~calculate dispensing quantities and days supply ~Work in a fast paced, production-based environment REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS - A minimum of 1-3 years of pharmacy technician retail, hospital outpatient, or mail service pharmacy related experience is a must. - Pharmacy terminology, calculations and drug experience is required. Candidate must be able to read and interpret prescriptions and be able to enter these prescriptions into the pharmacy dispensing system. - A technical college degree (pharmacy tech program) or comparable work experience is preferred.
