Job Description
The Pharmacy Department at Memorial Hermann Hospital is looking for a Supplemental Registered Pharmacist to work Weekends Day/Evening Rotation. The department has a staff of 137 FTE's, including 42 staff pharmacists, 12 clinical pharmacists, 3 residents, 68 technicians, 4 couriers, director, assistant director and 7 support staff. Services are provided seven days a week, twenty - four hours per day from a combination of satellite pharmacies and a centralized pharmacy. Pharmacists and technical personnel functioning from these locations expedite the initiation of drug therapy to patients on nursing units. Additional patient focused unit clinical pharmacist support provides consultations on drug selection, monitoring of drug therapy, reporting adverse events, and providing patient specific drug information. A coordinated team approach to the provision of drug therapy is maintained through effective communication among physicians, pharmacists and nurses. The Central Pharmacy Department is looking for a Supplemental Registered Pharmacist to work on Sat/Sun Day evening rotation.(7 am - 3 pm / 3 pm - 11 pm) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Texas. Two years of experience as a hospital Pharmacist with knowledge of the unit dose medication and I.V. admixture processes. Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house program or other accredited program is required.
