PHARMACIST-SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER GROUP PURCHASING ORGANIZATION
Texas Location
Reporting to the Senior Director of Contract Management, this individual manages specific pharmaceutical contracts as assigned; conducts periodic business reviews and strategic planning meetings with key suppliers; and routinely monitors supplier compliance to contract terms and conditions. In collaboration with the Service Line Senior Director and Contract Development Team, this individual is directly responsible for the execution of the client's contract business process which includes: identification of accessing member needs, product and market assessment, market research, both primary and secondary, competitive bid and bid analysis procedures, involvement with councils, committees, and/or task forces to business plans, and marketing communications. The qualified candidate must achieve, maintain and grow the targeted revenue base for the contracts assigned, as well as demonstrate financial aptitude in the preparation of expense and revenue budgets. The candidate must also manage relationships with members who are accessing distribution/products/services through the company's pharmacy services and assure member satisfaction through timely communication, problem resolution, participation in councils and the execution of individualized support plans. Collaborating with the field team, this individual will investigate and implement new programatic offerings while maintaining practical knowledge of the healthcare industry, market dynamics and new technology.
Candidates MUST be a pharmacist with hospital experience. Do not submit retail pharmacists. Client prefers PharmD, but will consider BS Pharmacy with strong experience. Be sure you candidate has some marketing or business development. Hospital procurement and purchasing experience is also helpful.
