Job Description
PHARMACIST NEEDED Cincinnati, Ohio $89-115,000/year
Long-term care pharmacy company that is headquartered in Cincinnati. This position is open due to company growth and will supervise 1-5 pharmacy techs and report to the VP of Clinical Operations.
Responsibilities: *Dispense medications to patients *Input data and information into pharmacy operating system *Review and approve prescriptions to be filled by techs according to State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations *Work with techs in performing final checks of filled prescriptions to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery *Work with patient medical information to conduct drug utilization review on all prescriptions and review clinical edits to ensure no adverse drug reaction *Assist pharmacy management in maintaining good inventory practices, which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory *Work with management to ensure implementation of cost containment strategies occur on all dispensing and procurement activities *Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug-related questions or concerns initiated by internal or external customers *Work with appropriate pharmacy techs in reconciling Controlled Substances Logs with inventory on hand and prescription dispensed to comply with state and federal regulations *Ensure state, local, Board of Pharmacy and federal regulatory compliance
Requirements: *BS in Pharmacy, licensed in Ohio *At least six months of experience as a pharmacist for skilled nursing facilities
