Clinical Staff Hospital Pharmacist
Southern PA/MD border
A fully decentralized hospital pharmacy has an opportunity for a clinical staff Pharmacist to work 40 – 50 hours a week.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assumes tasks necessary to convey daily Pharmacy and IV admixture products and clinical monitoring service to the patients.
Job Description:
* Responsible for administering medications based on physician orders. * Performing the day-to-day professional operations of the department which includes drug acquisition, distribution, and monitoring, identifying, resolving, and preventing drug related problems that may affect optimal patient care outcomes and to research and communicate to our medical and nursing staff, as well as to all ancillary services. * Primary Duties include IV admixture, and unit dose, therapeutic drug monitoring and quality improvement initiatives, Patient med monitoring, patient education, drug utilization, transitional ivy, drug review charts and some dispensing. Up to date information on drug therapy.
