Job Description
MANAGER, Patient Safety and Pharmacy Compliance
Education/Degree: Pharmacy professional degree from ACPE accredited college (B.S. Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy)
Certification/Licensure: Registered Pharmacist Experience: Minimum of 3+ years experience as a hospital pharmacist with 1+ years as Director of Pharmacy in a medium sized hospital or equivalent: Minimum of 1 year experience in medication safety, performance improvement management including JCAHO or CMS survey; Medication safety data management and performance improvement experience preferred; Experience as faculty of a College of Pharmacy. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses recognized leadership ability, superior interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills. Experienced ability to prioritize, delegate and coordinate activities effectively. Able to critically evaluate literature, problem-solve and teach. Possesses personnel management skills
Position Purpose: Responsible for the active participation in the identification, implementation, development and coordination of performance improvement and medication safety activities and programs to ensure that optimum pharmaceutical care and services are provided to patients and customers.
