Job Description
Our Client a top 100 rated a health care system seeks a Clinical Pediatric Pharmacist to join their dynamic interdisciplinary team.
Position Summary:
As a team member you will work in a progressive, decentralized pharmacy model where pharmacists are on the floors, directly involved in patient care. Working closely with physicians, nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit, hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant unit, and surgical OR
As a Clinical Pharmacist you will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution and clinical services, direct support personnel in day-to-day activities and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes for individual patients, exercise leadership in all matters related to the medication use process for all patients.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
- Licensure in the State of Kentucky or eligible
- Pediatric residency preferred
- Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and aseptic technique
- Knowledgeable in clinical interventions and a wide variety of situations in several modalities
- Knowledge of nutritional modifications indicated for disease prevention, control and management
- Ability to effectively supervise support personnel.
- Ability to utilize and adapt to technological innovations and electronic information systems.
- Able to communicate at all levels.
