Job Description
Omnicare is seeking a Consultant Pharmacist to manage medication therapy for patients living in long-term care nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and other long-term care facilities. The primary job responsibilities will include monthly medication regimen reviews and collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality pharmaceutical care. It is expected that this will be a clinically rewarding position to a motivated pharmacist willing to grow with an evolving model in pharmacy practice. The position requires working knowledge of geriatric pharmacology and therapeutics, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Long term care pharmacy or consulting pharmacy practice preferred, but not absolutely required. Pharmacists must be licensed in the state of Missouri. There travel required with the job.
