Job Description
The Nuclear Pharmacy Summer Intern assists in some of the basic daily pharmacy duties, with close oversight provided by the pharmacist:
Take prescription orders, answer customer questions, enter order, and do set up.
Wrap doses, complete contamination checks, and follow DOT procedures.
Check in packages following all DOT procedures and inventory management policies.
Prepare radiopharmaceutical kits.
Dispense doses as prescribed.
Perform any other miscellaneous duties as required to ensure the goals and objectives of the function/department are met.
Qualifications
Knowledge:
Current enrollment in accredited school of Pharmacy.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
Ability to be an effective team member.
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
