Manages daily operations of pharmancy and fulfillment operations, quality assurance and inventory maintenance while ensuring compliance with company policy, employer and provider contracts and state and federal regulations.
Develops and implements workflow and process improvements to facilitate and promote operational excellence, customer satisfaction and a cost effective delivery system.
Consults with management on operational issues with broad impact, provides technical expertise in developing and implementing solutions to operational problems.
Analyzes operations to determine best practices and establish performance goals. Reviews performance and monitors prescription fulfillment service response, identifies problems and takes corrective action/proactive action including adjusting performance standards when appropriate.
Evaluates workflow, processes and reporting systems, identifies deficiencies and develops enhancements within the workgroup or in conjunction with contributing departments.
Oversees adherance to quality assurance programs to ensure integrity of delivered product.
Management Duties:
Determines staff level, interviews/hires new employees, ensures appropriate training, conducts performance review, counsels employees and takes appropriate disciplinary action.
Develops and administers objectives, operating policies and procedures, budget and strategic action plans for achieving goals.
Provides leadership and motivation by establishing clear expectations, communicating specific performance feedback, and giving timely thorough performance reviews.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
BS/BA in Pharm D required. Licensed in Kansas requried.
3 - 5 years relevant experience required, 6 - 8 years preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
1-2 yrs of supervisory experience coupled with demonstrated leadership
General knowledge of PC usage
