The Pharmacist Supervisor's Responsibilities:
Supervises daily activities/tasks performed by non-exempt and exempt employees. Monitors operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required using standard policies, procedures and guidelines.
May perform any or all of the following dutes:
- Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to and reviews the work of assigned staff.
- Reviews schedules to ascertain staff needs and unit goals, and assigns workload to meet completion dates/deadlines.
- Familiarizes employees with established unit/organization policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties and resolving problems.
- Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Researches and prepares various reports for management on assigned topics.
- Interviews/hires new employees, ensures appropriate training, conducts perf reviews, counsels employees and takes appropriate disciplinary action.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Kansas Pharmacist License required.
- BS/BA Pharmacy required. Post graduate degree in Pharmacy preferred.
General knowlege of PC usage
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
2-3 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of Pharmacy terminology
Prior experience in pharmacy dispensing required.
