JOB DESCRIPTION: Highly motivated pharmacist to lead the development of clinical pharmacy services within our emergency department. These pharmacists will work closely with all members of the healthcare team to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to all patients with the emergency department.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient care rounds in the ED Development and evaluation of medication therapy protocols Serving as a resource on medication and clinical pharmacy issues related to ED services Participation on committees relevant to areas of service Providing formal education to students, residents and other healthcare providers Participate in research activities of the department and institution Opportunities do exist for participation in other patient care areas, including critical care
LICENSURE: Eligible for or current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia; PharmD required Residency training in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine. BCPS certification desired.
