Interim Director of Pharmacy Inpatient Facility

Responsibilities: Responsible for all pharmacy operations in the assigned facility. Supervises pharmacy personnel at the client hospital when acting as pharmacy manager. These operations include, but are not limited to director of pharmacy operations and other duties as required. Maintains licensure in states that are selected by the organization based on the current and projected needs of the department. Complies with all applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations, and regulatory standards (JCAHO, Medicare, HCFA, etc.). Ensures that the Medication Use Processes meet or exceed requirements by regulating (DEA, FDA, Board of Pharmacy) and accrediting agencies (e.g., JCAHO). Ensures strict control and accountability for drugs dispensed to patients or distributed to floor stock. Supervises drug storage and preparation areas throughout the facility. Provides for the educational needs of the pharmacy staff.

Requirements for this job: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required Current Pharmacy license in good standing within the state of practice Five to ten years hospital experience with three to five years in a management position Proven customer service skills
