Pharmacist- Infectious Disease Outcome Coordinator Full Time- 40 Hours- Day Shift
This position provides quality patient care through education and promotion of safe and effective anti-infective medication use practices. Provide pharmacy research, education services and clinical pharmacy practice leadership in relation to effective use of anti-infectives, to ID specialists and clinical pharmacists. Position will oversee the assessment, prioritization, planning and implementation of clinical pharmacy services for antimicrobials within the institution. This position will have a key role in patient safety and quality management program for the department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology. Will be responsible to create and direct outcomes research projects with fellow researchers. Will facilitate and direct the gathering, compiling, analyzing and reporting of quantitative and statistical data.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: 1. Current Utah license (or eligibility) to practice as a pharmacist. 2. Master’s degree in pharmacy and clinical experience required. 3. Current knowledge and advanced use of statistical software (e.g. SAS®, SPSS®). 4. The position requires a degree in a health related field and requires working experience in statistical analysis and presentation of information. 5. Advanced knowledge of clinical and epidemiologic research methods. 6. To deal with the unique challenges of this position, the incumbent must be able to function independently and make decisions. He/she must possess effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills and leadership qualities. In addition, the incumbent should be flexible, able to inter-relate facts and ideas, support existing programs, implement new programs as necessary. 7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
