Director of Pharmacy Inpatient Facility

Responsibilities: Assumes the role as leader in planning, directing and managing the department staff to ensure quality service on 24-hour basis. Responsible for the preparation and dispensing of drugs and the provision of drug information including but not limited to drug-distribution services, intravenous admixture, cytotoxic and parenteral nutrition preparation. Responsible for supervision of pharmacy personnel, pharmacy department quality assurance and design and implementation of departmental goals and objectives. Responsible for JCAHO standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment for the unit, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health-care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriately managing resources.

Requirements for this job: Current Pharmacy license within the state of practice Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy Previous hospital pharmacy and management experience required Familiar with JCAHO standards, compliance standards for pharmacy and budgetary processing Must have strong organizational, communication, computer and analytical skills
