Pharmacy IV Technician On-call / PRN Variable Shifts Inpatient Facility

Part on an independent, community-governed healthcare system serving a suburban area just west of Portland, Oregon. Providing a complete array of outpatient, specialty, health education and other services. Big-city services in a small-town atmosphere.
Responsibilities: Assists the pharmacists in performing tasks that by law do not require direct completion by the pharmacist.

Requirements for this job: High School Diploma required Current Pharmacy Technician license within the state of practice Demonstrates proper appearance and personal conduct for the employee's particular job Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, questions with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds Three years IV admixture experience, including chemotherapy, and one year unit dose experience preferred Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluent English. PC, pharmacy computer and keyboarding skills required Excellent phone skills and organizational skills Presents a personal appearance and interpersonal skills that makes a good first impression Prefer experience working with pharmaceutical data for reporting purposes and to support clinical pharmacy program National Pharmacy Technician certification prepared Works with frequent interruptions
